“और हमने किसी पैगंबर को उसकी जनता की भाषा में नहीं भेजा, ताकि वह उनके सामने अपने संदेश को स्पष्ट कर सके। फिर भी, वह भगवान को जिसका चाहे भटका देता है और जिसका चाहे हदायत देता है। और वह आज़ीज़ (शक्तिशाली) और हकीम (बुद्धिमान) है।”
इस्लामी विश्वास के अनुसार, भगवान ने इतिहास के दौरान कई पैगंबरों को लोगों को सही मार्ग पर ले जाने के लिए भेजा। भगवान ने इन पैगंबरों में जीसस, मूसा, और इब्राहीम जैसे पैगंबरों को चुना था ताकि वे उसका संदेश पहुंचा सकें और मानव जाति को उसकी एकमात्र पूजा करने और नैतिक रूप से सही जीवन जीने के निर्देश प्रदान कर सकें।
इस्लाम में, मूसा, ईसा, इब्राहीम, और अन्य पैगंबरों को मुसलमान माना जाता है, जिसका मतलब है “वह जो भगवान के सामने समर्पित है”। इस्लाम सिखाता है कि ये पैगंबर मानवता को भगवान की पूजा के लिए मार्गदर्शन करने के लिए भेजे गए थे, किसी मध्यस्थ के बिना, और उनका मोनोथेइज्म और भगवान की आज्ञा के संदेश का मतलब है कि वही संदेश है जिसे मुहम्मद और कुरान ने शिक्षित किया था।
